Hello everyone! I am a Pre-Nursing student attending New Mexico State University and I am doing this project as a part of a classroom exercise (not for publication). I hope many of you that reply to this post will allow me to use this information. I will NOT use your real name if you ask me not to, otherwise the username I will see, I will write in my paper. 1. How long have you been a nurse?

2. Where did you get your qualifications from?

3. How much education was required to be a Nurse?

4. What is the typical work day like?

5. What do you like about being a nurse?

6. What do you dislike about being a nurse?

7. What would you change about nursing?

8. What personal qualities/abilities are important for doing well in Nursing?

9. What impresses you in a resume from someone who is applying for Nursing?

10. What advice would you have for someone like me considering this field?

Generally, the purposes of these assignments is to get you out there talking to people you can verify are nurses. You can't do that on an anonymous message board like AN- people may claim to be nurses, but in reality they may not even be any type of healthcare professional. Also, this is your opportunity to get out there and network- sometimes it's more who you know than what you know that can help you land that first job. So where can you go to find a nurse to interact with? Your own provider's office, the local school, the public health department, nursing homes, hospitals, the possibilities are endless.
