Last week the state came to my nursing home facility. They watched me do G tube meds. I did it perfect by the books accept the first flush was clogged in the g tube so I plunged it down slowly and no extra air. Then did the rest by bolus and it flowed smooth. Now the state lady said that was wrong and that you are supposed to pull the plunger back to declog it. I didn't even know that. The facility gave me an in service on that and our facility policy states in fact that we are allowed to do what I did. So I did nothing wrong. Now this week my DON says the state may call me to ask me questions about g tube meds. I don't know if our building is in trouble but does this mean I am in trouble? I am worried because I don't want to lose my licence over something so silly and minor. I'm not sure why they would need to call me? I am still in school even trying to transition to get my RN . I need some insight.

That isn't an IJ issue. It sounds like your DON will give you some education. I'd review your P&P and move on with life!
