Hi

Can anyone tell me if my qualifications are recognised in Florida U.S.A.

I am a qualified S.E.N in Mental health nursing.

We are hoping to move to Florida some time soon.

If there is anyone out there who can give me some advice on working in the u.s and how we go about getting our green cards please let me know.

My husband is an electrician so hopefully we should not have to much trouble, we already own a home in Florida (Orlando ).

Hi Jackie,

I am not sure about SEN but if you PM me I could give you loads of info and web-sites! I am in the middle of making our tea!!! LOL - so if I get chance later I will look for some info for you!!

Bye for now!

Hi Jackie ! I'm pretty sure you will be asked to take the State Board Exam. in Florida... w/ the shortage of nurses here, hospitals are sponsoring foreign grad. to obtain H-1 visa ( working visa). Florida is beautiful and has a lot of hospitals...try thiswebsite.. http://www.hcahealthcare.com or http://www.nationjob.com...there's alot more..good luck !:) --Joy

Just had a thought Jackie.....

with regards to you being SEN - you may not have trouble going to Florida because they have an NCLEX exam for LPN's (which is the american version of SEN's)....

See how you get on with the info I have given you by e-mail first though.

(btw, Just booked my NCLEX for the 5th November!!!)

Thanks Sue

I have not had time to look through all of the info you gave me but what I have is very good !!

Good look with your exam
