hello I need assistance with a nursing diagnosis
The pt reports pain, burning, and tingling. she was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. her blood glucose, HbA1c both are elevated, LDL also. Can I use the following diagnosis?
Pain r/t bilateral foot pain, burning and tingling, and evidenced by pt self-report of pain.

What is the pathological cause of the bilateral foot pain, burning, and tingling. Not the diagnosis which is, as murseman24, pointed out diabetic neuropathy, but the actual pathophysiology behind it?
Also is this pain acute or chronic?
