(I hope this is the right place to post this)
I went to New York and Company the other day and they were giving 15% off to nurses (and others). What stores do you know of that give discounts for nurses?

Cell Phone plans, varies between 10 to 25 % off (depending on the vendor) for public sector employees. However, they don't necessarily tell you about it. You have to know enough to ask.

15% off at The Walking Company. good place for shoes.
I live in Birmingham, AL. I am not sure if they are a chain or just a local company.

Have never found one, only "sales" at high priced uniform stores. Even at "sale" prices, the uniforms are usually beyond my budget.
I know quite a few places that offer discounts for firefighters, teachers, EMT's, etc. But very few offer them for nurses. I was hoping maybe there were a few other places that offer discounts for nurses. At New York and Company they did get upset with me because I explained that we no longer carry a license card (I have mine but its expired because its no longer used in this state) They wouldn't give me the discount without a name badge or paystub. Whats funny is the name badge could be older than the expired license!! Anyway, other than the hassle its a good way to save a few bucks! Too bad most don't think of nurses. Any one else know of any stores that offer discounts?? Thanks!

A salesman for Select Comfort mattresses once told me that they gave a discount to nurses- this was in the Mall of America store in Minneapolis, and this was about 3 years ago. Not sure if this is still true or if it was just that store or the whole chain- but worth checking out!
