Hello,

Thank you for responding to me. I'm taking most GE classes at National University. I'm a mother as well and work full-time I definitely understand. I plan to get in at NU or either Azuza Pacific Universit. Azuza Pacific University is more close to me so I hope everything works out.... I also wish you the best

Truth about APU high desert, sounds like a great option, they sell you on the everyone is so nice and "we're ranked 8th in the nation". Yeah, i'm guessing the main campus is ranked 8th in the nation not the regional or satellite schools. "God first" after you give us our money. It's a Christian school, you'd expect nice people, be prepare to meet some of the rudest people with no Christian behavior, stuck up, judgmental yes, Christian, I question that. Be prepared to have your papers, transcripts lots and resubmit them over and over again. Prepare for the disorganization that awaits, schedules last minute with no time to order your books online and have them arrive on time, schedule changes leading up to the first day of class. Scheduled changes occur all the time, no good if you have a job. Scholarships, they offer you a list of expired scholarships, not helpful. Don't even think they give them here because we're not the main campus. "Tuition is cheaper here than on main campus", NO, its not! About $60,000 for 2 years, no scholarships, its not cheap at all. the moment you have an outstanding balance, even though the semester just started and you just got the bill, prepare for countless emails until it gets paid. Oh and you can't register for the next term f you don't pay the semester in full. Instructors tend to bail, you here about a great professor, and then they're gone.

The weather is either sweating, burning hot, 80 degrees and up or winter cold, 50's and below with frozen windshields. There is no student housing, you need to rent an apartment or a place up in the high desert. Don't forget about research day, mandatory, long, boring event on the main campus, provide your own transport, gas stipend or reimbursement not given. The high desert campus is not allowed to bring any study materials or laptops even if you have a big, important test coming up but all the other sites brought study materials and their laptops. Did i mention this was MANDATORY! You can't miss the event or you have to make it up somehow and you can't leave early, its a waste of a day.

This school is not worth it, other members regret coming the APU high desert. They all wished they would have waited and attended another school. This is the school you go to if you can't wait any longer to get your degree.

Be prepared, search other schools, do your research, wait, you've been advised.

Goodluck. There are other better schools.

Hi,

Are you still currently enrolled in the program? I was accepted for the upcoming term and am deciding if i want to attend this school or West Coast. I was wondering how the teachers are and how classes are structured. Such as if you have to self teach yousrelf some materials and how the clinicals are. Thank You
