Congress addresses nursing shortage measure passed by both the Senate and the House that would provide for scholarships and grants for nurses will go to President Bush for his signature. The bill authorizes the programs, but Congress will still have to find money to pay for them.
Acknowledgement of the problem on the national level was a long time coming.
The problems associated with the U.S. nursing shortage cross all of our nation's geographic boundries. I applaud this recognition by the Feds and hope it will trickle down to the state capitals.
i am glad to see that this has been brought to the "board" for discussion. i personally would not want to be confined to a particular job because of the financial help.
