needing good thoughts and prayers sent my way!!

Nurses Disabilities

Published

I am in real danger of failing the hospital (clinical) portion of my critical care rotation. I have 2 weeks left which is 2 more times at the hospital. I have ADHD and Anxiety which I am medicated for (not sure how well they are working!) there are still really high highs and really low lows so I am inconsistent in my practice. I need to calm down and get it together!!! Please pray or send good thoughts! Advice would be welcomed too!! Thank you!

This is stressful!

What about going back to your provider and letting them know the situation so they can maybe adjust your meds?

DEAR FF10

SECOND SET OF THOUGHTS & PRAYERS ARE ON THE WAY!!

HOW IS IT GOING... YOU ARE NEARLY THERE!!!:grad::grad:

Not so good. It doesn't look like I'll have the time left to be able to raise those numbers so I think that I will go through the appeal process to move forward. I am going to start a new thread about that. Thanks so much for your concern! Keep the good thoughts and prayers coming!!

Sending thoughts and prayers your way!!! I had an instructor tell me that when I was pressed for time and/or stressed that I needed to pause, breathe and slow down because those would be the times when I would have an increased risk for errors. You're not the only one ;)

UPDATE!!! All is ok!!! Thanks for your good thoughts and prayers!!

Awesome! I am a little late in reading this post. I am so glad that you are okay. I can remember when I was having trouble in clinical. I had a tendency to get very nervous when being closely watched and being critiqued. I was switched to a different group. The different instructor made a world of difference. I was calmer and did not make as many mistakes. It did wonders for my self esteem, too.

Perhaps, you can get help with this anxiety.(in addition to meds) When I was in clinical, I talked to the psychology nurse who helped me with some techniques.

Congratulations;)
