Is your facility planning on something fun and festive for staff? So far I've heard administration is planning massages and manicures but they are only for daytime staff who can afford to leave their areas for the length of a massage or manicure. I won't see any of that, but I guess someone will!
Daytime staff usually get treated to a free lunch of deli stuff sent to the units; evening staff usually gets whatever is left on the trays
I'm not full-time so I'm usually not around for all of it and my hours don't usually coincide with the "festivities". But I did get a pen one year. There's that. Except it didn't work but hey can't be picky lol!
Some units did more than others, it wasn't the facility administration so much as it was individual nurse managers. One unit got a big sheetcake and another one had food brought in for lunch. Others didn't do anything. I'm still ahead of the game since my pen still writes!
