A former Director of Nurses, who passed away after a fast bout with cancer, impressed me as being the only nurse I've met who jumped in with both feet about what needed to be done. Be it paperwork or getting involved with patient care issues, she actually was in the office during business hours and did something while she was there. I often think of her and wonder why more nurses in management roles can not be like she was. May she rest in peace.
