Nurses please give some insight!

OK here we go...I don’t know what else to do in life. Here is some back-story on me!

Got bachelor’s in biology 2013 ―> Bachelor of Nursing in 2017 ―> 2-3 different nursing jobs ―> lost recent job from massive lay off ―> No luck finding another job!

The issue is, I used to work for a year for a telehealth service until they went bankrupt While I was there our supervisor was someone who graduate in 2021! Don’t even ask me how they put that recent grad as a supervisor for all other nurses (Probably from networking)! Then they fired everyone as they went bankrupt, and I have been looking for a job for 4 months and could not find a job! This person, however, has become clinical manager of a really good hospital (again 1-year since she graduated!!). I am usually not a person who is a jealous type, but these types of examples get to me.... because I know how hard I have studied and worked and yet I am unable to find a simple office job in hospital. What is you opinion? What am I doing wrong and how can I succeed like this person? I would appreciate your input.

Your answer is in your question- networking.  Do you keep up with the person who is now a manager at the really good hospital? Why not text that person and say you are looking for a job?

Jealousy is a time waster. Put that energy elsewhere.  Tell everyone you know that you are job hunting. Watch successful nurses and emulate their work habits/people skills. Try your best to get to know coworkers and keep up with the friendly ones outside of work.

In real life, good grades and working hard may not matter as much as people liking you. Hard facts.
