Hi!

I'm just wondering if there's anyone here who has had experience working as a nurse in the Middle East and is currently processing or has finished processing their AHPRA registration? I would like to ask if they waived the bridging program or do you still have to take it? Thanks!

You still need to undergo a bridging program. There are only few exempted countries. US, Canada, UK, NZ, Ireland for sure. I think Singapore and HK, too.

Thanks for that iamnomad!

So that means that AHPRA doesn't really care about your postgrad, cpd and experience as long as you haven't had education/working experience from those mentioned countries, you would have to take the bridging program.

Would you happen to know somebody who has had or is in the same situation as mine? I would be glad to be in touch with him/her if possible. Thanks!

There are quite a few on these forums with many years middle east experience and all have had to do the bridging course. Many nurses with 10-15 years in the Phillipines are required to do the bridging course. Hope someone with real life experience can reply!
