Greetings, any of you guys like to chase turkeys in the spring? The turkeys here in Iowa are starting to strut and gooble in the am. Season starts April 11th. Getting the itch to catch some crappies too.

I love to fish, I really like to fish for cat but find it hard to find others since most of my co workers are female! None of my friends fish, my brother does but he's in the middle of a bloody divorce.......catch a big one for me..David

Bow-fishing just opened here in North-Western NY. Gotta love the faces on all those guys with poles when you pull your bow out of the case... Anyway, it's good practice for fall deer season- something other than target shooting. I get the turkey tags every year, but never find the time to go. :o

Fishing without bait, or fishing without beer?

The University of Iowa is the best paying job in the State. However, that isn't saying much if your coming from another state as we are the lowest medicare reimburshment state in the country,and our pay reflect the reimburshment... lowest pay in the country. The U. has the only Level 1 trauma center west of Des Moines. Very busy teaching hospital & Iowa City is a very cool town, so things kind of even out in the end.

A crappy is a small black/white speckled panfish. Similar to a bream, but with a bigger mouth.

There's not much hunting here in South Florida unless you like to kill feral pigs. As for Turkeys.... I work with many.

Fishing, now that's another story. I fish in the Gulf of Mexico. Are there any other posters here who fish saltwater?
