I have an unfortunate incident with one of my valued nurses. Please let me qualify this by saying that he is a great nurse and highly respected however, he has been arrested for domestic violense and fighting this charge. The details are irrelevant but the question is this:
If he accepts plea of no contest and get adjudication withheld with 1 year probaltion and anger management, can he lose his nursing license? It been runored that the Nursing Board will suspend or revoke his license under this plea. He must be found innocent or the charges must be dropped.
Whats your experience and advise for him.
Thanks for your help!

My advice would be to get a lawyer.

How the BoN responds will depend on the rules in his state.
Many state BoNs have their nurse practice act and rules online. He needs to check there rather than relying on rumors.
Also depending on the state, if a person is charged with certain crimes the BoN may suspend their license pending disposition.
