Nurse recovery program question??

Hi , I'm in Mississippi. As some of you know , my case with the BON hasn't come up yet. Last year when I self reported to the BON about my alcohol/opiate addiction I though I would've contacted by the nurse recovery program within a few months . It's been over a year and I haven't heard a thing. Have any of you know someone to not be accepted into a program? I submitted an application to the recovery program when I met with an investigator from the BON.

I didn't complete inpatient rehab, but I did completed a 10 week outpatient rehab .

Congratulations on your sobriety! I would suggest you look at the state recovery program guidelines. Find out how many 12 step meetings are required weekly then keep a written record. You can find some generic forms on the internet and your state recovery program probably has some as well. Get a signature every time you attend a meeting. This may save you some time when they finally catch up with you. Are you working? There is no reason you couldn't search for a job now, check the website for ideas about jobs the BON is likely to approve. Good luck to you.

Thank u! I'm currently working in dialysis which is recovery friendly since we done administer narcotics.

I do have an AA sponsor and I'm attending meetings regularly and getting signatures. So maybe I'm doing the right thing after all :-). I'm so thankful for my 16 months of sobriety . One day at a time.

Thanks for responding :-)
