Do I have hope of getting into NP school?

Hello,

I'm currently in an accelerated options program at Michigan State University with plans on maybe getting my Masters later on. I am looking at school requirements and most required a 3.0 GPA in the last 60 semester credits. I have a 3.6 GPA in my classes but I fall way short of the 60 semester credits by the time I graduate in August. I'll only have 38. Will schools let me in with an AO degree? Or will I have to take more classes?

Thanks for any help!

I believe the "last 60 units" refers to ALL of your college coursework. If you're in the accelerated options program, I'm assuming you have a bachelors degree in another field. Chances are that those schools will calculate the remaining units you need from the stuff you did before you started the AO program.

I wouldn't take my word for it, though. The best thing you can do for yourself is contact the admissions counselors from the programs you're most interested in so that you can know EXACTLY what they'll want from you. They'll probably know how to answer your question better than most people on this forum anyways. ;)

Ditto Karmyk.

Good advice.
