I am a nurse with a past disciplinary action; from 2008. I did all that was required of me, and definitely learned from the situation. I am finding now, 4 years post incident that I am going to have problems finding a job. All because of something I can't seem to live down. Any help on this issue anyone? I am a good nurse, that made a mistake, but cant find forgiveness from the profession. Any advice would help.

I know nurses that were hired with discipline showing on their license, I also know managers that have hired nurses who have been disciplined. When I was a manager I only hesitated with someone who was new in recovery due to the amount of exposure to narcotics in a recovery unit...

I know that the nursing environment is tough right now, I dont have anything that shows on my license and have applied for a lot of jobs. I have 10 years critical care experience (Bedside, charge, and manager) and keep hearing "more qualified applicants being considered".

My advice to myself and others is to be persistant and keep applying. Good Luck
