Took a little a break from studying for my History exam and found this really interesting job as a Nurse paralegal! Who would have thought that that was even an option.. It's an attractive position for me but I am so dead set on becoming a CRNA.
What do you guys think? Would you do it? If I had my BSN (3 years left) I'd try it out and see where it leads. I wonder if hospitals offer something like this?

If you had your BSN I would say go for a post-bacculariate certificate in paralegal studies and see what jobs you can get.

I used to work as a legal assistant for a medical malpractice law firm. I actually got interested in nursing from talking to one of our expert witnesses. Of course, I'm also extra paranoid about getting sued because of it lol.

I would love a job that combined nursing with legal stuff.. and I already have an AS as a paralegal. I am a bit surprised by the line in the ad that says "No special legal training is needed or expected. " Paralegals do have legal training, or should.. in my opinion, it would be very hard to do any paralegal job without it. The "must be a good writer" part makes me wonder too.
I guess it's an entry level sort of position and they'll probably train you. I'm thinking about calling and inquiring more about the position just because this is different from from all other nursing paths. I've never thought about the legal side of it. But I would love a shot at this job in the future should my interests change.
Did anyone else consider RN paralegal as a career path?
