Hello, nurses! Is anyone a nurse life care planner? If so, will you describe your job and/or scope of practice? Do you mostly work with attorneys? Are you also a legal nurse consultant or a nurse case manager? Do you recommend certification as a CNLCP?
I have not found any topics on this specialty, so I figured that I could post in Legal Nursing.
I currently work as a nurse case manager, and already have a CCM. At case closure, I sometimes have to submit a cost-savings sheet (which usually baffles me), and I'm wondering what else should I learn.
Thank you!

Sorry, new here, just saw this...
Go to the American Association of Nurse Life Care Planners website www.aanlcp.org, check out the certification and membership info, educational offerings, and journal (free to access and download). You can get the Scope and Standards for NLCP practice on Amazon or from the association. It's all there. Yes, definitely do the CNLCP because it's more powerful when you learn how nursing process backs you up. Lots of resources.
Life care planning is part of LNC work, and so is CM.
