Exciting news: Washington State is very close to joining the Nurse Licensure Compact. SB 5499 has passed through the Washington State Senate. It also passed through it's first committee hearing in the Washington State House with a unanimous vote of approval. One congresswoman mentioned that her office had received 300 letters from nurses, all in support of this legislation.

Good news indeed.  I'm awaiting PA's implementation of compact.

The Washington State Legislature just passed SB 5499. As soon as the Governor of Washington signs this bill, Washington will officially be a member of the Nurse Licensure Compact.
