Any Nurse who are involved in consultant work as an independent contractor? If so, what do you do? I am an OBNP of 7 years recently became a stay at home mom and I am interested in other ways to utilize my skills on a part time basis without the strict hours.

hello, obnp,:balloons:
i want to welcome you to allnurses.com
i, too, am certified ob-gyn np. but, i am also certified medical-legal consultant, clnc. i have my own business as consultant. since my speciality is ob, i have also been called to testify as expert witness on a few cases.
I also recently complted a lnc program not yet certified. I was trying to see if there are other types of consulting jobs available.
I see. Are you planning on trying to combine the legal nurse consulting work with some other consulting career? Just curious.
And, may I ask, where did you get your LNC education?
I am thinking about doing consultant work, not necessarily legal. I completed the Kaplan College program.
