NU SD Cohort 41

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

I have searched for a thread about NU SD's cohort 41 that is supposed to be starting January 2015. I am going to be applying next week after I attend the pre-nursing forum on Tuesday, the 15th. My goal is to get into the ABSN program as I already have a bachelors degree. I understand thought that the number of spots in the cohort is for both the general BSN and the ABSN groups. I am curious to see what other peoples stats are that are going to be, or already have applied for this cohort. I am so nervous because I knpow a lot of people apply and there are only about 50 spots available. I havn't taken the TEAS yet or the essay exam part. I have a 3.5 GPA, so I'm hoping I can kick butt on the TEAS and essay!

Me too! Ha I started crying I was so nervous! Can't wait to meet you guys!

I cried too! Im at work and I freaked out! We are like war buddies, cant wait to meet you guys!

How can we verify this and what can we do about it?

Congratulations to those of you who got accepted! I am an applicant for Cohort 42 and I was just wondering with how many points did you guys get accepted? and were you guys being graded with the new criteria where the number of attempts did not matter or with the old one were the number of attempts counted for 20% of the points?

Only problem with that is you have multiple people here who got accepted today, nobody knew anything 3 weeks ago. And this information wouldn't affect any of the accepted, nor would the denied be able to do anything about it if it was true.

I am SO happy the wait is over. Does anyone know what the going rate is for malpractice?

We have like a week to get all this together! Lol thanks national.

Hey congratulations on your acceptance :) What were your scores if you don't mind me asking? Do you guys know what the cut off score for your cohort was? :)

Tono: The cutoff depends on other students who applied for the specific cohort. For example, some applicants TEAS are above 90% then who has the score lower that will have a hard time to get in. Then the next cohort may have TEAS of 70's and 80's, then whoever has the highest score will get in. Also they look into the science classes. So it all depends on scores of people who applied. This is my second time applying and it stressed me so much! Hopefully, you guys won't have to deal with this so much drama like us.

Hi Tono, we dont know what the cutoff score was since we dont know our essay scores yet. JJ told me that the cutoff score for cohort 40 was 81.5, my score (without the essay) 68.8. My GPA is 3.6 and TEAS was 84. So it just depends what my essay score was. With an essay score at 3.5, that would put me at 82.8. Hope this helps :)

thank you it does helps! And congratulations again, I hope we dont have to go through the same situation that you guys did :/

Congrats everyone who got accepted! Could someone tell me what science/may courses go towards the gpa?

Well it was a long wait just to be denied but if it is true they only took 20 applicants my chances were lowered. I had an 80% on my TEAS and a 3.5 gpa. Not sure where to apply now but am going to stay positive. I don't think I'll go through this with National again.

Congratulations to all who made it in!

Congrats to everyone that made it in! I got denied also. I already submitted my application for cohort 43 as well as one to UNLV, I can't keep dealing with California's impaction. I have a 3.710 GPA, I didn't do as good as I wanted on the TEAS, only got a 74.7 and I think I did well on the essay although I have no idea yet. Anyways good luck to everyone in their future endeavors!!!
