Hi,
I also applied to the 2016 summer track after finding out that they moved the part time to Fall. I originally wanted to do the part time summer track as I have a full time job. However, I decided to apply for the summer since its only a 15 month program (thought might as well). If I get into the program I will quit my job and do full time schooling. I heard there were around 90 applicants, so I'm kind of nervous. Also, the tuition is around $6000 per semester (not including books). The classes account for around 36 hours a week (a one 12hr clinical day is included within those hours), so having a job while in the program will be extremely hard. Hopefully we find out this week whether we got in or not, best of luck.
Yes, Summer track is 15 months, however, I know that we were their "trail run" so I'm not too sure if they are doing another 15 month Summer track this year... Spring and Fall has both part time and full time. The amount of class hours depends on what semester you're in. First semester for full time students spend around 36 hours a week, which includes a one 12 hour clinical day. Second and third semester the hours decrease to about 25-28 hours/week, which then includes 2 clinical days/week (the amount of hours in clinical changes and depends on the class). Hope this helps!

Hello everyone! I started this post to see if there are any other hopefuls for Nevada State College's 2016, full-time summer nursing program? I originally was only going to apply for the part-time program and work full-time at the same time, but then an email went out stating they were NOT having a part-time summer program this year. Instead, they decided to try a full-time program in 4 consecutive semesters beginning in summer 2016-summer 2017. I was told they are only admitting 32 students. I figured if I could get my degree in 15 months versus 30 months it was worth a try.
If there are any other hopefuls, or current NSC nursing students I would love to hear your feedback about the program!
