NRSE 4600 Starting on Aug 26

I have not seen a thread for this class and would like to start one. For those of you who have taken this class, what did you need the mentor to exactly do for you during the 5 weeks? I have a few candidates, but I am not sure how much commitment the mentor needs to have for my project. Thank you!

Project update per rubric:Project update was thoroughly discussed and linked to QSEN and global and project objectives with supporting examples and evidence based references.... on the assignment it says no references on the rubric it says references, i put a couple just in case

TurtleTarvern, did you put any references on "list needed resources"? The rubric says "with supporting evidence". I'm not sure if it means just examples or citation.

Just seen the email. smh This should have been said at the beginning of the week at the very least. Time to jump on the treadmill and step up our game. :o)

So it's Friday night and I just now see the email from the professor sent today telling us we are not allowed to use ANY direct quotes in our discussion boards and that the TAs have been told to deduct points if we do. Really? I realize by this class we are supposed to keep the quotes to a minimum, but it would have been nice to let us know this new rule before Friday night of Week 3.

I know....I hope they will take this into consideration when grading this weeks discussion boards because I already completed mine earlier in the week and used a direct quote. Counting down these last few weeks!!

Does your preceptor for this class have to have a masters degree or will a BSN be okay? How much time do you spend with the preceptor?

BSN is ok. The syllabus says 21h over the 5 weeks.

I am done with the paper! I spent a lot of time trying to slim it. I feel that putting so much of the required items into only 4-6 pages is ridiculous.

Do you think we will get deducted points for the paper being over 5 pages? My paper is 8 pages and I can not for the life of me shrink it down anymore! 11 different topics makes it difficult!

I am not sure of it. But the 4-6 pages exclude abstract page. So you can have 6 pages not 5 for the body of your paper.
