Hello Everyone,
I am a new graduate nurse as of today...YAY! I am enrolled into a NRP course tomorrow. My dilemma is I ordered the textbook and it hasn't arrived yet...again my course begins at 10:00 am in the morning . The instructor has emailed some information that is very helpful but she also stated "You are required to study it [textbook] and complete the end of chapter review exams". Should I be concerned...any information or advice given will be greatly appreciated. I forgot to mention, this course is only 5 hours long with a "brief review, written eval, then megacode performance eval.".
Thank you in advance,
chare

ideally you should have had the textbook. the end of chapter reviews are helpful as they provide feedback on how well you understand the material that has been prevented.
not having the textbook, you might find the neonatal resuscitation guidelines that were published in the 2005 american heart association guidelines for cardiopulmonary resuscitation and emergency cardiovascular care helpful.
congratulations on finishing school, and good luck in your class tomorrow.
Chare, thank you for the website link suggestion and for the Congratulations! The website has a lot of great information so I will begin reading. I will be sure to let you know how everything works out tomorrow. :)
I am now certified in Neonatal Resuscitation ! Thank you again Chare :nuke:.
