I know theres been threads about NPs in other countries and how the role translates there but I was wondering if there were any NPs that practice in Japan (or other countries) besides military bases.
Thanks for the tips!

No. Not in Japan. They are traditional over there where doctors do the medicine and nurses do bedside care. I know this because a close friend of mine is working with other Japanese nurses to create CNL program over there... the very first one.

I have to agree with the previous poster about Japan. There is some interest in the role though. Couple years ago, a group of professors from a Japanese nursing school visited our medical center (and the affiliated nursing school) to talk to us about our training, our role, and specifically how NP's are incorporated in the critical care team.
