So in 2015 I was working in a facility as a CNA and there were other cnas that we’re taking pictures of residents in the facility I knew that they were doing that and failed to report. The DOJ got involved and took everyone involved to court. I got charged with failure to report. The CNA board offered me a diversion program which I accepted but because I pleaded nolo to the charges I got put on the OIG List, NPDB, and also Medi-Cal Suspended and Ineligible Provider lists. Now it has been 5 years and I am eligible to apply for reinstatement I want to know what my chances are of getting a license if I want to get my LVN or if it will cause issues?? I really want to go back into the medical field ??

Thank you for your post. Hard lesson to learn re failure to report elder abuse privacy violation. Yes, you are eligible to reinstatement. Gather all documents together, craft letter what you have learned from this mistake, any ethics courses taken, etc. Letters of reference from current employer and any medical professionals.
Sounds like you have a good chance for reinstatement. In order to get LPN license, you need to be cleared from OIG List, NPDB; Medi-Cal and provider list clearance will allow facility to bill for nursing care provided. So this should be done prior to entering LPN program.
Best wishes in getting this resolved.
So do u think I would have any issues with the nursing board Or school when trying to get my license?
