Hi I am a foreign graduate physician, It is near impossible to get into residency, I am thinking to do Nurse practitioner course. Anybody know of any online schools or where to start to be a NP. Thanks Reetpal

You would not be able to enter an NP program directly. You would first have to complete an RN course and then you can apply to an NP program. Depending on where you went to school, and on which school you go to in the US, you may be able transfer credits and/or challenge certain courses.

Best of luck!

Actually he may be eligible to enter an NP entry level program, which is an option to students that already have degrees

Even in a direct entry NP program, the first 12-18 months usually are an accelerated RN program. You cannot become an NP without being an RN first. You do not necessarily need to work as an RN, but you must go through the training and licensure.
