I am a first year NP student and I and a few of my colleagues have been wondering about the NP salary in the area. The surveys are not specific enough and I am well aware that the numbers vary by specialty. I would like to know;
1) Salary (hourly, monthly or annually)
2) NP specialty
3) Years of experience
4) Type of experience (primary care or acute care)
5) Anything else you may want to add to help us out.
Thank you.

1) Salary (hourly, monthly or annually) - 80K salary with potential for what I understand as unlimited bonus potential based on RVU's
2) NP specialty - Family
3) Years of experience - 1 month lol
4) Type of experience (primary care or acute care) - I'm in primary care in a family practice clinic
5) Anything else you may want to add to help us out. - I am about 2 hours away from Memphis in a smaller city of about 25K-ish
Thanks! I hear that the rural areas make more, so you are starting with 80, does that mean that we should expect less in the city. Any real difference?
I think it really just depends on the area. I read some threads here where some in cities make higher than I do. My school told us the class a year or two before averaged 70k with their first jobs so I was excited to get higher but expected lower.
Not really sure what to tell you and I always felt awkward asking about pay. It wasn't the most important factor to me but I still wanted my degree to be worth it.
Hopefully keeping this bumped up on the site you'll get more information!
