NP Program UBC/UVIC

Published

I'm not sure if a forum has already been started for applicants for the September 2021 intake but I'm here to kick it off. Is anyone else biting their nails hoping for an interview with UBC or UVIC?

Wow you guys sound like some great candidates (and great future NP's!). You have all given me a lot to think about! Thanks so much ?

Does anyone have any recommendations for STAT1201 tutors?? Would like someone to consolidate the course material ?

@xaun_88 I have someone I’m using now. Been very helpful. Got through unit 1 in two weeks, she’s basically teaching me the material and I’m doing minimal reading. Shoot me a text, 604-369-1585, or message me on our FB Cohort page ?

Just wonder if there is any admission interview for UVIC NP Program? Thanks!

Hey,

I’m wondering if anyone took pathology elsewhere (like Athabaska), and if it transferred over to UBC and or UVIC? I’m looking at taking it early for more of a work life balance the first semester.

just a note, those who are interested in applying for the UVIC program for 2022. They will be having an info session.

Hi guys,

I am planning on applying to the UVIC NP Program in the future. Just wanted to know how hard is it to get in and those of you who got in can you please share what kind of experience and certifications you had?
thank you

It seems like it’s getting more competitive every year. Tbh I’d think about applying for other distance ED programs if you really want your NP. You would think straight As would be enough

How was the interview process with UBC? Are you applying again this year?

Hi there, congrats to those of you who will be finishing up your first year soon! I just received notice that I was accepted into the program and was hoping to hear some info! How have schedules been in the first couple of semesters? Workload and what not? Thank you so much!

Very heavy workload first semester. Last year classes were Tuesday Wednesday. I think second semester is the lightest classes were Wednesday Thursday. Wouldn’t recommend working full time.

Thank you so much for your reply!! Did you do UVIC or UBC?
