I am an familiy nurse practitioner student (FNP).I am in need of an NP who works with the pediatric population for a clinical practicum rotation. Please consider sharing your experience with a student collegue. I have been an RN for 25 years and have worked with clients of all ages in a variety of settings over the years. I live in the Cincinnati, Oh area and have licenses in OH, KY, and IN. The pediatric course runs from mid-april to mid-july and requires completion of 210 hours. Unfortunately I have had no luck obtaining a preceptor and this is one of my last resorts. This area has lots of NP students and limited clinical spots. Several of the local universities have the market on clinical spots and use them for their students. I do not need to complete all the hours with one person. If you have any time please consider precepting a student. Please contact me at [email protected].

I feel your pain. I'm a FNP student in California and required to find my own preceptors. It has not been easy and considering I need different experiences, OB/GYN, Peds, Geriatrics, etc. I wish you the best of luck with your program.

Hello,
My name is Joni Pless and I live in South West Ohio and I am searching for a pediatric preceptor for my pediatric rotation through Indiana Wesleyan University. This is a FNP program in which I could utilize an NP or physician for this rotation. This rotation requires 210 hours in Pediatrics. My email is [email protected]
Thank You,

Sorry to hear about your difficulties in finding a preceptor. Schools that don't arrange all this for you should be ashamed of themselves! To pay good $$ to the school and then being left to find your own preceptors in terrible.
