Hello All,
I am applying for the AANP exam and on the application it asks what state board of nursing do I want my certification verification to be sent, not the exam result but the verification of certification after passing the exam. Seeing that the verification is free to send to as many state boards as we want, does it do any harm to request verifications sent to many state boards like 30+ or even to all 50 state boards? I don't know where I will practice as an NP, it all depends on where I can find a job and with the difficulties in finding an NP job for new grads in this economy, I figure if I request certification verification sent to most or all 50 states, I won't have to worry about it later and would save on the verification costs. Does anyone know if there is any harm in requesting your AANP certification verification sent to many nursing state boards? Thanks in advance!
Can anyone help me at all with the above question about sending certificate verifications to state boards?

Hmmm - I know that some states don't require certification. I would send it to your home state, get licensed there, then transfer your license.

The certifying bodies send notification to the BON through a bulk email. When I spoke with the FL BON they stated that they must have an application on file to link the certification to. My advice is the same as traumaRUs.
