Nova Southeastern Winter 2013 Entry Level BSN

Hello future nurses!

I'm very anxious about my admission decision. Does anyone else feel the same way? I applied to Nova at the beginning of this month, checking the VIP page 3-4 times daily.

What campuses is everyone applying too? How was the interview process like? Did anyone attend the information session or spoke to a counselor?

I look forward to meeting everyone!

Take this advice for every interview from hereon out- JUST BE YOU!! they want see the real you. Think of it as a conversation not an interview. I know its hard because your nerves will be all over the place but just hve fun with it and most important thing is BREATH!!!!!!!!!

I have a 3.78 and havent recieved any information but my questions is the ppl who already recieved emails are they still currently enrolled in classes ????? I have a 3.78 but Im still currently finishing classes

Hello Andrea, the most overwhelming and stressful part of the admission process is the financial aspect of this institution. I wake up, eat, go to sleep thinking about debt, and meeting fees deadlines. I have received good motivational support from my family and friends because in general I view it as an investment towards my future. I also feel like I need to be better oriented in regards to loans because I've heard they have crazy interest rates. I'm also very optimistic that I will get a job right away even if it's not in Florida. Your best bet is for your parents/spouse to provide you with half or more than half of their support throughtout the program. That way you don't have to take out insane amount of loans to pay for your career. I don't doubt the quality of education, but you get exactly what you paid for, because their NCLEX passing rate is very high! Wish you the best of luck!

Hey Stephy92, I have a 3.75 and I completed my associates prior to applying. When I joined the chat session last week, they said that the interviews will be held in tiers. Below I copied and paste exactly what an advisor said:

" tier 1 : gpa 3.4-3.5 and above all pre-requisites completed Tier 2: 3.0 gpa and above completed prereq's/ tier 3: 3.0 gpa pre-req's in progress"

Yes I have an interview at the main campus. Have you received an email in regards to the interview, and if you have where will you be attending the interview.

Laura, I believe winter is less competitive than fall term because of the Baptist Scholarship. The baptist Scholarship is available to the students who applied to the fall term. All emails I received from Nova was sent to the email listed on my application.

Stephy how many classes you finishing, my friend has the same thing, but she is doing 2 classes. You guys should hear in late oct.

I was selected for an interview in May 2012 for the fall entrance...If you want any advice or questions being asked during the interview let me know...

I was selected at the Main campus...Interviews at the Main campus and Kendall differs.
