Nova Southeastern Winter 2013 Entry Level BSN

Published

Hello future nurses!

I'm very anxious about my admission decision. Does anyone else feel the same way? I applied to Nova at the beginning of this month, checking the VIP page 3-4 times daily.

What campuses is everyone applying too? How was the interview process like? Did anyone attend the information session or spoke to a counselor?

I look forward to meeting everyone!

Kendall :) you?

Me too :) future classmates

Yayy!! Study buddies :)) do u have a facebook??

HIIIIII ft myers me too ! well im pending one grade but do you have a roomate ? im from miami and i have to move!

So I truly didn't realize how expensive nova actually is with fees and tuition added up. I knew it was expensive but not that expensive :/ not looking good on me going there anymore.

It is expensive. If you are young and not super worried about time restraints I would honestly recommend BC. You can get the same exact BSN it will just take a little longer. Student loans are no joke, it will take a lot longer than a year or two to pay off. Yes it is an investment but there are other options. Not trying to talk you out of Nova, it just bugs me when people think the loans are no big deal.

@andrea no one said that loans are no big deal!! But u know u are investing in ur future...why go to bc and take longer to finish school when u can just start nova which is an has an excellent program in nursing...and u can finish paying the loan in two years bcuz my friend did it...no need to get bugged out chill we are all here to help each other no drama necessary :))

Ugh, I had this whole answer typed up and I have no idea where it went. Lame. No drama here. Im excited to start Nova too but there are other options, that's all I meant. Nova is a good education but at the end of the day the most important thing is the degree and when it comes to nursing it doesn't make that much of a difference where you get it from, ask any RN or BSN they will tell you the same thing. Obviously I have chosen Nova but I looked into a bunch of different options and this was the best fit for my family and I so I gotta pay, but if I were younger and had more flexibility I would do the BC route. Just my two cents.

As for your friend, kudos to her, however most people do not pay off a $50,000 debt in a year or two.

Anyways, enough serious talk. Sometimes I feel the need to share life experience but I really do hope that all of us starting together will become great friends. I really am excited for this journey. :)
