I noticed there wasn't a article for this so I decided to make one. I applied early toward the end of fall semester in December after final grades were posted and got a interview shortly after. I been so nervous for the past couple of days and I finally received the call 9 days after the interview and I still can't believe it. Anyone out there applying for the fall term?
Are we supposed to buy all 5 books for the NUR 3160 Introduction to Professional Nursing class?the list is showing 5 books for that one class
I bought everything from that list, but I am sure the professors will tell us exactly what we need on our first day of class. If I end up not needing them, I will return it, with exception of the anatomy book.
Hi all! I recently applied to NOVA and all my transcripts went through last week. I am waiting for my interview date. I currently have a 3.22 cumulative GPA and a 3.60 science GPA. I ordered the Kaplan review book and the Anatomy and Physiology Cliffnotes book along with my prior class notes. I hope to get accepted. I will also be applying to the Baptist Scholarship program since I work for Baptist. Any feedback you guys may have will truly be appreciated! Hope to meet all of you that got accepted for Winter 2018!!
First off Lyons & Mcnally are wonderful instructors and will lecture in a way that you will learn and understand the material. But I would read the summary of the chapter before lecture. Print out the PowerPoint and take notes in class. I don't know if it changed but they let us record, so I would record the lecture. After lecture either by myself or with my study group I would talk about what we learn or write it out. The next day I will sit listen to the recordings and write notes on my print out. It took hours because u had to pause, listen rewind etc but I made it where it was in my own words and I understood the material. If I didn't know or was confused on something I go to the book/ watch videos or texted Lyons or McNally depending on if I'm studying for anatomy or physiology. But the one thing that helped a lot is going to the LES session even if you passed the exam they are very useful. Also saving the clicker questions to practice with. It seems like a lot of timed spent but it worked for me. I worked three days out the week and still end up with an A. So it's just time management and finding what works for u. Hope this helped and good luck !
Would you that using notes and powepoints for the test is sufficient? I understand that reading the book its important to understand the concepts, but I just don't want to spend hours reading the chapters in the book.

I didn't buy any books. The previous first semester students said they didn't use the books first semester.
