This is for anyone who has attended Northern Virginia Community College's Nursing Program (especially the Online/Hybrid track) or anyone who has just applied!!!! (And it's also for anyone else who wants to chime in :) )
I sent in my application for Spring 2015 about a week and a half ago....
I applied with a 3.2 GPA for all my courses. My GPA for prerequisites was probably a 3.8. My TEAS were all in the 83-86 range...I thought i would be able to take them again so I was just practicing but it turns out you can only take them again if you do not pass the first time, so I was really disappointed about that. Anyway, I was wondering if these scores seem competitive? I know the requirements are lower, but I have been reading some forums of people accepted in years past and all of their scores are so much higher!!!!
Has anyone had their application confirmed yet? I haven't heard anything about if my application is complete.
Am I stressing way too much about this? I hope we all get in and can begin school together! Good luck to you all!!! I would love to commiserate with or hear about anyone's experience!
I have never posted anything like this online before...so I don't know if I did it right! I am more of an outdoorsy type :) Sorry if I messed anything up!
I Just stumbled upon this...got in as well, see you Tuesday. It was kinda difficult to get the drug test done in such a short period of time. They said to bring the receipt in if you have ordered the background....crazy
Oh my goodness! I have yet to receive an email to get my drug test done! I'm freaking out because the top of the acceptance letter says we have to order it by November 17, and we have to bring the last page of the background check... But the bottom of the letter, where the instructions are, says we need both. It's also dated 11/11, and I never received a letter in the mail, I only received the email on 11/14. I'm starting to freak out a little.
I just received an email from the contact person listed on the letter. As long as we have ordered both and have the confirmation letter then we are fine for orientation. I need to go to the gym before I stress myself out even more lol! See you all on Tuesday!
Which clinical group are you guys in? I definitely got the first one, which is in Manassas, the farthest away from where I'll be staying! I don't even know where that is, lol, but I think I pass it driving in from Roanoke.

Hi Journeyof5! Sorry I have not checked this in forever! Are you working on your prerequisites now? When will you take your TEAS?
My clinical is at Bailey's Crossroads...Pretty far from me, but ti could be SO much worse. I'm so sorry some of you guys are stuck with such long commutes
