Who is starting Nov 1?

Phew, Thanks for that info TheCommuterRN!! All of your posts have been very helpful.

I just took and passed the pre-assessment for Care of Older Adult. I'm hoping I can just review my coaching report and take the final test. Anyone who finished it, how hard was it? Pretty close to the pre-assessment?

The level of difficulty of both the preassessment at the objective assessment had been very similar, in my opinion. I would use the coaching report to guide your studying in the areas where you scored less than 70 percent.

Thank you for the advice!! Going to do just that. Trying to get some things done before Nov 1. ?

Just like you, I had 34 credits to complete when I started the BSN completion program in May. I've completed 24 credits so far, and fully expect to complete another 3 to 4 units before my first term officially ends at the end of October. Your goal is very reasonable.

Congratulations on the baby!

Hey how are things coming along? Have you completed anymore classes? How was Nutrition? Also have you finished the Community Health courses?

I start November 1st and need 49 credits to graduate. Kind of bummed about how many credits I need. Oh well, it is what it is. Anyway, I'm excited about learning new things and the prospect of potentially leaving acute care for something more community oriented.

One of the Rn's in the ICU I work in, had about the same number and she was able to knock almost all of them out in the year she has been with us. I am sure you can do the same and it will be over in no time.

Nutrition was easy for me because I already had a somewhat decent prior knowledge of nutritional concepts. After two weeks of studying I passed the OA exam with a score of 88.

I have not completed any courses since mid October because my second term just began on November 1st, and my course mentor was reluctant to accelerate any further courses too close to the end of a term. In fact, I have a phone appointment with the mentor today to officially enroll me in the 2nd term coursework.

I should also mention that I've been studying for two nursing certifications that I want to attain (CRRN and ONC), so I have not been focused on schoolwork lately.

Yea I'm thinking nutrition will be ok. We just took it in my nursing program so I can't imagine it being that hard. How many units do you have left? Good luck on the certs that's awesome for you!!!

I have exactly 7 CUs left to complete, then I will be completely done with the program.

If only I could get the momentum going again...

Are you done with community health? I was stoked to get 4/5 biochem tasks done in 2 weeks. So stoked. This pacing program is awesome. I'm hoping I can be like you and work quickly thru the majority of my units.

Are you done with community health?
I've been done with the first part of community health (C228) since September. I still need to complete the 90 hour community health practicum portion (C229).

How long did the first part take you to complete?
