notification letter?

I was supposed to receive my notification letter about 2 weeks ago. I've been having nightmares about that I got into the program, but the nursing program had to first check how my nursing skills were. So they put a dummie on a bed and asked me what was I supposed to do to the patient next. There were hurricanes coming one after another and dinosaurs that were supposedly demons, trying to get into my house. I guess I'm feeling that no matter what I do I still won't have a chance to get in. I know it sounds very pessimistic, but I guess I'm feeling this way because I really want to get into this school. I had a 50/50% chance of getting in, I still do. What has me anxious and having all these nightmares is the fact that I havn't gotten the letter yet. Do you think they havn't send it to me because I won't get in. If they say that their going to send the letters right before X-mas, then why havn't they. Be blunt with me if you have to, from your experience do the people that get in the program get the letter really fast. I mean classes start on the 8th of January and they re-open school on the 7th of January. What time do I have to actually send them back my info. and pay for the dormitory and tuition. This school is 2 hours away from where I live; I'm not planning on driving over there everyday.

I understand the anxiety!! I just got my letter on 21st just before Christmas. I am praying that it is just a mail delay for you. You should receive a letter indicating acceptance or rejection. Either way, have money saved for the costs of things that you would need; sometimes costs can range from 300 up to 500 dollars just to start. Go ahead and schedule a physical now so that your major health exams are already done.

About the exam, wouldn't the nursing program prefer a recent physical for the fall term, or are you talking about if I get accepted for the spring term. I got a physical about 2 months ago (November). Thanks for everything.

This is news you probably do not want to know right now, but you asked if any schools only send out acceptance letters and not rejection letters. My school is one that works like that. I think they do because, if an opening does become available later on they can call you in. I had a friend find out only a week before classes started that she was accepted.

I'm glad to hear you have applied to more than this school, better odds that way. Then your problem will be, how are you going to choose?

I know it's easy for me to say, but really try to relax and enjoy this vacation time. Once your in classes, you'll be wishing for a break :clown:

Keep us posted! :)

Thank you. It hurts to hear the truth, but it's okay. You could be right. Well I rather know now than having to hear about it in 2 weeks.

I am in the same boat you are...I friend of mine got her acceptance letter on Dec 24, and as of today I haven't received anything. My friend feels that they mailed the letters to the people who were accepted first because they have to accept by Jan 3, and they will mail out letters this week for those who didn't get in. It's very discouraging to hear that because I would much rather know ahead of time seeing as though orientation in on Jan 3. Best of luck to you...
