Not sure how to be a leader to CNA's

Published

I recently graduated nursing school to be an LPN. Before becoming an LPN I was a CNA. In my job that I have now, I have to supervise the aides that are going to be on my hall. I am not really sure how to do this. With the fact that I used to be an aide myself I know how most of them think and that is that nurses just sit at the desk and do nothing. I need some advice on how to help them as much as I can yet still get my job done on time. I also need advice on how to ask them to change people, lay somone down etc...

Thanks in advance for any help!

There was a really good discussion on this topic recently. The thread was called "New nurse needing advice". Check it out. The thread has some good info.

After you read it, you may have some specific questions that some of your Peers could help you with.

The best to you.
