Hello all!!
I am currently in my 4th qtr of a bridge program (maternal/child and Mental health) and I just can't get motivated to read the required textbooks. I do read the Saunders review books as well as my clinical pocketbooks, but I am wondering why I have fallen into a rut. Has anyone else encountered this? I have 2 classes left after this qtr and I would hate to have come this far to fail. I do not know what to do, or how to get motivated. Any advice? Please and thanks in advance!

I think we all hit lows at various times throughout any long program. It's
simply a part of human nature.
Something I did was to reward myself with small things after I'd read a chapter, a section, or whatever was the end of the part. Nothing big. Things
like howe, ver many candies the bag said was a serving, a cup of tea or cocoa, playing with the cat for ten minutes, some popcorn I'd popped earlier, etc. If I got an A on a paper, project, or whatever, my reward would be bigger. A movie to watch, a piece of clothing I wanted, a book,
etc.
Sounds. dumb, but it worked....usually.
Thank you! I might just try that.
