I am thinking about getting a little diamond stud nose piercing. Is this acceptable in the technical schools and hospitals? Ill be moving to North Port area and was wondering if a stud in the nose is acceptable? Thanks.

Hey there. I would hold off on any extra piercings ... at least those that can't be covered. It depends on the facility and setting where you work. It wouldn't bother me personally but remember, we have a high number of elderly folks living here who might think otherwise.

Yeah.....visible piercings and tattoos are both highly frowned upon. I have two fellow students that are not allowed onto the clinical facility unless they cover their tattoos. One girl has one on her neck...which I am sure she is getting tired of dealing with.
It is not the schools rules as much as it is the hospital or facilities rules.

I think that would probably be frowned upon. In my program they are strict even about the type, size, and number of regular earrings we can wear, and visible facial piercings weren't allowed. It would be one thing if you already had it pierced and could put some type of discreet retainer in, but a fresh piercing usually requires you to keep the original jewelry in and have minimal handling during healing.

FORGETABOUTIT!!! I hope you haven't done it yet. One of my classmates was told that if he didn't remove his stud eyebrow ring and let the hole CLOSE he would be removed from the class. You could barely see the stud in the mix of his eyebrow hair and the bump from its closing was actually more distracting. A nose piercing would NOT be allowed. My school even told the females we were not allowed to wear thong panties!!! They are VERY strict!
