The fellowship I got an offer for has a 2 year commitment, anyone knows what happens if you leave before then?

To my knowledge, nothing happens. It is just an commitment, not contract.

Hey. Yes, I started yesterday with orientation. They said to take the NCLEX asap. It took 3 weeks for my license to show up on the NYS website and an additional week for ny physical RN license in the mail.

So you wouldn’t have been able to start with preliminary results? And had to clear on the New York State website in order for you to be able to start working? And thank you for responding ?

They asked for my quick results but kept saying that they are keeping an eye on NYS website bc they need my license #. I took the NCLEX about a month before Fellowship start.

Does anyone here know anyone who got an interview for the October cohort? I have an offer for another hospital in the city and was wondering if I should wait?

Hey it’s still very early for the October cohort… but I’m on the same page …. I want to know asap in case I get an offer to start sooner elsewhere … also, congrats !! Did you get a fellowship/residency position in the other hospital ?

I got an offer for the October cohort, but I did not apply through the fellowship application (I applied directly to the unit I was interested in)

@nyc_nurse11 Which campus did you apply to ?

@Jessicaxo Yes it is a residency program. I actually work there now so I need to let them know 2 weeks before I quit. I believe I will start Mid September which is why I am curious if I should wait for Northwell to respond. I am interested in the critical care fellowship. Did you pass your boards yet? I have been reading back on previous cohort messages and it seems like they do not interview people until last minute.
