Northwell Health Fellowship October 2020

Hi everyone, 

I am starting a thread for the Northwell Health October 2020 Fellowship! I just wanted to know if anyone applied yet. Figured that we could keep each other updated here!

I applied to a few of the fellowships that opened this week and I received an email for an on-demand interview today.

Yes I applied to many of the July fellowships and didn’t get in, but I didn’t have my license at that time.

Did you get an interview this time? I applied for periop again and wondering if I have to do the on demand again if they email me. I wonder if they keep them on file is all.

Yes I got an on-demand interview. I’m hoping I get to move on to the next step ??. You probably will have to do it again.

Periop at northshore or cohen’s? I did the 6 quest interview and said Cohen’s periop.. she called me back Friday, I wonder what’s next. Wish all we needed to do was the 6 questions!

Periop at Cohens and SICU at Northshore. Did she call you for a phone interview?

Yes, I completed the online interview and she called me Friday. (On the online interview the question said choose 1 fellowship so I said Cohen’s). She said she’ll hand my stuff to her assistant manager and to expect to hear from her. I hope to hear back soon, wonder what’s the next step.

Have you heard back from the Assistant? Did the recruiter specify when you should be hearing back?

Hello everyone! I applied to  the cohen's periop fellowship and have not heard anything back yet. is there anyone else that have not heard back yet? I really want to get into this program so I'm thinking I should call and ask. Does anyone have the nurse recruiter's number? Thank you so much!!

@rev3 I was sent through to interview with the nurse manager and nurse educator for the periop fellowships back in July and didn’t get in. However this time around I applied 9/2 and haven’t heard anything either. I’m sure they may still be sorting through applications. Keep positive!

@Shull28 Thank you! I hope we both hear back soon! Are you a new grad too? Did they ever inform you as to why you didn't get in for July?

It would be nice. And pretty much. I have just short of a year on tele unit. They did not tell me why I didn’t get it, and Just said that it’s very competitive. Would have been nice to know what I could improve on in the future. However, I heard many people fill the fellowships internally From Northwell as well so that prob is a reason as well. I’m being hopeful I’ll get another chance to be sent through. It doesn’t make sense that 3 months ago I was sent through to speak with the managers and this time around I don’t hear at all. Staying positive ?
