Northwell Fellowship Oct 2023

Hi all,

I just wanted to start this thread for anyone who has applied for October 2023! 

Have you heard from them?

Do you happen to know if overnights are a requirement of the fellowship? Did they discuss scheduling at all yet during your interviews or shadowing? I have a health issue and I am unable to do overnights.

Yeah the position I applied for was a night shift position. The fellowship is split into 2 phases. Phase 1 consists of classes and one day a week on the unit. Phase 2 is when you're on the unit with a preceptor. Each phase is 3 months and would be day shift. You could bring up your shift preference during the interview and see what they say. But yes the position I applied for was nights

Anyone heard back for any of the periop fellowships? I have been "under consideration" for about a week and a half for the North Shore one, but haven't actually heard anything. How can they wait this late to start interviewing? I am so confused about this...

Same here ? haven't heard anything from them yet. I am sure they interview internal candidates first.

Applied to fellowships for PICU early August and for ICU early September. Haven't heard anything and status for both still says application received. Anyone know if there are any fellowships/new grad residency start dates after October, or would we be looking at 2024? I'm starting to lose hope for this round after hearing nothing for Summer or Fall ones.

I still haven't heard anything but my application doesn't say no longer under consideration either like one of the other positions I had applied for. Has anyone heard anything yet? With an Oct 30th start seems like they should be really moving the process along right now...

Yeah, same here.. I am losing hope...

I believe it's going to be April 2024..

Got a call on sept 15, did the virtual interview, references and in person interview the next few weeks. it's been a week and a few days since in person interview and haven't heard back regarding an offer yet. however the nurse manager did say 1-2 weeks so hopefully by this week I will hear back

Did you apply to PICU? I think they closed the position today.

Yes I did and didn't get the position. They didn't have any spots left to add due to their budget.
