Hi all,

I just wanted to start this thread for anyone who has applied for October 2023!

Have you heard from them?

I hope you hear something back soon!

I did both. And shadowed the unit for 4 hours. I applied to the critical care fellowship at NSUH

Thanks for the quick reply! I didn't know the candidates could shadow the unit. Which unit did you apply to?

Thank you!!

CTU. I didn't either. When I interviewed the managers said they wanted me to shadow to see how I'd like the unit

Oh wow, You are ahead of us ?

Did you like the unit and the managers? and What questions did the managers ask during the in-person interview?

I am interested in SICU, but not sure if they would allow the candidates to shadow..

Thank you!

I did like it! They asked typical Interview questions: strengths/weaknesses, a scenario question, how you destress, how you used critical thinking, why are you choosing the ICU. Questions like that.

My friend got accepted into the August Fellowship at Lenox.

She said that she had the on-demand in early May and then In-person in June. She had to patiently wait for like a month and finally heard from Northwell in mid July that they would offer her a job..

Another nurse I work with in the ER also told me the hiring process for per-diem RN position took 4 months.

I'm just nervous that I won't get a call at all, it's already the beginning of September and I haven't heard anything. I know everyone says it's a long process but I don't know if it's bad that I haven't done any part of the interview process

I applied to the PICU as well!

I haven't heard a peep. No calls or interviews yet. My application just says received. I applied 8/23. The posting is gone so they aren't taking anymore applicants. I applied for another position that same week and already received an email that they're going with other candidates and now my application is inactive. Since that hasn't happened with the fellowship I am hopeful that I may still get a call to interview.

Yea I think we would need to hear by next week because it is supposed to start 10/30. It takes time to go through the interview process and then onboarding with any medical and background clearance stuff.
