NorthShore DNP-CRNA Fall 2022 Start

Published

Hi all,

Wanted to start a thread for those nurses looking at pursuing a career in nurse anesthesia through NorthShore. I just submitted my application today!! I actually went there and hand-delivered it. I was told by a current SRNA that a bunch of applications got lost in the mail last year. I spoke with the the admin assistant and she said that this year seems to have the strongest pool of applicants she has ever seen! So exciting and nerve-wrecking at the same time!!

Congratulations!! Good luck with your interview.

Has anyone heard anything? Is Northshore done sending out interview invites?

I'm interested to know how far in advance they invite you for an interview. Is anyone willing to share the amount of time you had between receiving your invite and the date of your interview? Just curious...

They emailed me on May 19th to confirm a June 1st interview! I would imagine there are still 4-5 more rounds and that they send emails through the beginning of July depending on acceptances.

How did the interview go? Did they say when you’ll be notified of acceptance?

I just got the email, interview in July.

How did you feel about the interview? Was it mostly clinical? I am anxious about the interview, any pointers for preparing?

Interview went well! They said we would hear back early August; however, I know in past years they start sending acceptances as soon as late June.

Congrats! Honestly they work really hard to make you feel comfortable - they don’t ask clinical questions and just want to know you as a person and your work experience to see if you’re a fit for the school. Good luck!

I got an interview offer today as well. The email mentions a 15-minute essay on interview day. I'm assuming they're just getting a feel for writing skills, would that be an accurate assessment? I've also heard in years past that they do a math test. Is that still a thing?

No math test, nothing clinical. Very laid back and comfortable experience. Honestly - I wouldn't even fret about the writing. I'm sure they gauge your writing from it, but it is also probably considered part of the "interview" if you catch my drift.

Anybody hear back after their interview?
