Hey!
I have read some messages posted by Canadian RNs who were planning on doing some outpost nursing. From checking out their profiles, it appears they have become inactive after the move! I was wondering if anyone had any personal experience with Northern Ontario nursing stations/Native reserve nursing.
Anyone?!

The reason why they've gone inactive is that there is no internet access in most of those communities. Some of them don't have running water either. Or road access... or fresh food... They're really remote.

Hi,
just joined this site !
I've been working in northern / remote Quebec communities for almost 2 years now and i am interested in working in northern Ontario or First Nations outposts in other provinces.
Can anyone give me some agency recommendations ?
salaries ? is it better pay to work for health canada directly or private agency ?
i am working for a private agency here in quebec, pay is about 15k a month ( before taxes ), but there is less and less contracts available, they've been hiring lots of new nurses, so i am trying to look elsewhere.
thanks,
