If anyone has any questions regarding the direct entry program at Northeastern University please feel free to ask. I am a first year student and I am enjoying the program very much.

Hi Minkewhale! I got a call last Wednesday from NU asking if I could come in on Thursday (the following day) for an interview. I think it went well, it was pretty informal as far as interviews go. Have you heard anything yet?

I never got notified for an interview, so I assume I didn't get accepted. My GRE scores were excellent, but my undergrad GPA was mediocre. However, I've also heard that the school is "super-PC," and my entrance essay definitely wasn't (stating point blank that I want to work with fat people without ever using the phrase "lose weight" can definitely freak out some people). That holistic approach to admissions can make or break you, it seems.

I got my acceptance to Regis on Friday and I was actually pretty impressed by them, so I don't mind as much any more. Congrats to those who did get in though!

congratulations on getting into the other school. i am not sure exactly what they look at the most because i had a pretty good gpa but well lets say my gre scores were less than mediocre. has anyone got there acceptance letters yet for NU??

Some people have already gotten acceptance phone calls. I interviewed on the 18th and haven't heard yet. Getting nervous cause some people who interviewed the same day already heard back. Definitely makes iit hard to stay hopeful!

yes! I got my acceptance call from NEU last week, and it's my first choice!! would love to get to know some people in the program before we start!

Hi Jennahbee! My name is Carolyn and at this point have pretty much decided I'm going to NEU. SO EXCITED!! Are you from the Boston area? I'm currently living in Cambridge but am planning to move closer to NEU in the Fall.

that's fantastic news everyone! I just sent in my deposit check to NEU last wk and am very excited! Carolyn - I also live in Cambridge (Harvard Sq area).
