Does anyone have an idea what the pharm exam is like at LIJ? Any tips on how to prepare?
Hi! I also graduated in May 2012, but with my associates. I'm working on getting my bachelors now though. I've been applying to LIJ ever since I graduated and still nothing -_- How long did it take someone at LIJ to get back to you after you had applied?
I graduated May of 2012, I had been applying since August and finally received a call this past May. the hiring process is fairly quick. If this is a system that you are truly passionate about working for I suggest applying every single day, continuously look for new job postings and keep applying, if you are persistent you will get a call. It is a long and frustrating process before the call, but once you get it, it will be well worth it. Trust me.

Hi triss, I have been applying to northshore LIJ since march no reply. What is going on? They have so many position.
Hi Triss,I have an interview with LIJ coming up as well..any tips you can give me regarding a med surg position? or the layout of the interview?
AWESOME! CONGRATS! I am in my second week working there and it is an amazing organization1 You are very luck to have received a call! In all honesty just be yourself! Mainly behavioral questions, why do you wanna be a nurse, etc. SMILE SMILE SMILE! They like honest, real, genuine people who are passionate about what they came there to do. Give positive answers, even if you have had a negative experience else where or have a weakness (which they will ask you about) turn it into something positive. Everything is about the patient! You are there to provide a service to the patient which is your main focus. If this is what you really want, it will show in your interview. I wish you all the best and please keep me posted! BTW which hospital are you interviewing for within the system..?

I have been applying since last August...you just gotta keep applying, thousands and thousands of people apply to the NSLIJ system everyday! Keep getting your name in that database and be persistent. They have alot of positions available, but you have to remember the vast amounts of people who are applying for the same position as you. The strongest will survive!!! KEEP APPLYING!!!
TrissRN do you have an associates or a BSN? I feel like north shore is Fort Knox to get in. Lol. I have an associates going back to school in the fall. I met a recruiter there at a job fair this past may and she was snobby and told me don't bother apply if I'm not close to graduating with a bsn.
@nycnursey...Hi! Sorry for the late reply. The med exam is online and you get a couple of tries at it...it is basic and you are able to look up information if you need to answer the questions. Where are you starting?
Hey! Thanks for your reply. I passed the med exam, it wasn't bad at all. Ill be starting on 4monti at NSUH next month. How about you?
