Just wondering if anyone has applied to the North Island College for the September 2019 intake for the Bachelot of Science in Nursing program? If so what were your grades for the pre-reqs? And what getting a head start courses did you have finished if any?

Awesome. What did you think of the CASPer assessment ? I find it a little difficult to know what your chances are because they dont release much information about their "points system" is this your first time applying to nursing programs?

I applied to VIU last year but didn’t get accepted. Last years Casper test was a lot more geared towards nursing than the one I took this year, I feel confident about my CASPer test but I also dislike not knowing how I did

I've applied ? I have 90% in Precalc 11, 90% Chem, 95% Bio and 95% English. I've completed 2 first yr English and 2 general electives for the extra course. It's getting hard to sleep with anticipation ?

I wish they would make their points system more transparent. Other schools tell you the exact breakdown and also publish previous yrs stats. All I managed to get out of NIC was that you get 1 extra bonus point for each of the 6 courses that can be taken prior to admission and that they hope to send offers "in the spring" lol.

I know I have found it so frustrating. They have said that they dont release the information to students but what i did get out if ***** was that it would be more useful to get your getting a head start courses done than to redo highschool courses to bring up your GPA and that Casper has a "significant" weight in the scoring process.
I found out on Friday that I'm accepted into the 2019 intake for VIU. I would prefer NIC only because it's closer to home but, we will see what happens.

That's amazing congrats! I just got my rejection letter from VIU but was expected as I didnt get my last transcript in on time.
What are your pre req grades and do you have all of the head start courses?
My sister is applying as well and asked about improving her high school grades and they said not to worry about them and the Casper is what to focus on.
